TIC Council is recruiting a Digital Communications Officer to support the content creation and rollout for our social media channels, as well as support the organisation of hybrid events and global presentations. The ideal candidate is able to translate complex policy positions to lively messaging and storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Developing a rollout programme for social media that would promote the activities of all TIC Council regions: Americas, China, EU and India
- Developing video content, including webinars and interviews with TIC sector’s CEOs and leadership
- Organising the publication of TIC Council’s newsletter
- Participating in the implementation of the communications strategy
- Participating in the rollout of media strategy
- Working with advocacy colleagues to support digitally all advocacy campaigns
- Support in the drafting of speeches and making presentations for TIC Council’s leadership
- Logistics support for all TIC Council events
Profile
- Excellent understanding of the social media landscape and how it is used for policy communications through relevant working/volunteering experience of at least two years
- Ensure the ongoing social media presence development, implementation and evaluation of a social media strategy to improve TIC Council’s social media presence and engagement
- Ability to translate complex content into plain language and simple visual assets (infographics, graphics, presentation slides)
- Experience with Canva, InDesign and graphic design software
- Good grasp of video and presentation development tools
- Interest in understanding policies and advocacy campaigns
- Strong academic background with masters’ degree
- Excellent writing, editing and oral communications skills in English – any other European language is an asset
- Proven ability to work independently
