Summary
This position manages the configuration and training of systems and operational practices within scope of the GHT Onboarding team (Hyatt’s central systems) at Hotel Openings and Acquisitions (approximately 10 projects a year). The GHT Onboarding Specialist will be required to interact with the hotel team, vendors, and regional teams seamlessly both in person and remotely in order to successfully communicate policies, brand standards, accounting and rooms practices.The position will require management of multiple projects. This position requires 50% travel.
Responsibilities
Project management of the configuration, training and go live phases of a hotel opening or acquisition project. This is done through a combination of onsite and remote activites and requires coordination between the hotel team, vendors and regional teams (IT, WoH, Revenue etc)
Conduct training classes related to systems and topics within GHTO’s scope as needed during hotel onboarding (communicate policies, brand standards, accounting and rooms practices and how use of Hyatt sytems).
Must be able to conduct training sessions in person and virtualy.
Development of training materials for use by the GHTO team, the hotels or our vendors. Training materials include slide decks, trainers notes, and videos.
Maintain a relationship with Hyatt’s vendors across EAME and ASPAC (~10 different vendors/offices) that implement and train the systems installed at new Hyatt hotels. This is done through regular meetings and in person interaction with vendor counterparts during the course of each project to discuss project needs.

Qualifications
Experience
Oustide candidates will not be considered. Internal Hyatt candidates only.
Reservations, Front Office or related rooms operations experience (2+ years)
Experience in multiple hotels, locations or brands is desired.
Hotel Supervisory Experience in Operations (2+ years)
Robust experience with Hyatt’s business practices in use with Oracle’s Opera Property Management Systems
Operations experience with Reserve, HotSOS, Prio and Envision helpful
Current experience in conducting classroom training and preparing training materials
Education
College degree preferred of equivalent work experience with major hotel management company
Fluent in languages other than English is desired
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Experience with Hyatt systems, Reserve, Opera PMS, Envision, Prio, WoH app
Experience with varied Guest Service Systems is helpful
Moderate experience with Microsoft Office
Additional Comments and Requirements
Because of the lengthy training time, a candidate should expect to be in this position for 3 years before being eligible for transfer. Select candidates may be offered the option to extend for an additional year in a Senior capacity.
Candidates will NOT be transferred of required to move but will be required to work from a pre-approved home base provided there is easy airport access, and it is a suitable place to conduct calls and trainings from.
Must be a self starter and comfortable working independently, working with others remotely and with different cultures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
Must be able to travel as needed. Approximately 50% of time.
