Job Purpose
Join the Supply Chain team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Cork and deliver SAP Artemis Data, Shipping, Warehouse, and Trade Compliance Export Co-ordination services as detailed in this job description.
SAP Artemis Data Services
- SAP Master Data maintenance for the Cork site functions both Clinical and Commercial: Plant Maintenance, Quality, Production, Finance and Supply Chain.
- Ownership of the material request process for new products, collaborating closely with the site customers from all functions.
- Maintain & update the SAP Data training courses and quality documentation, with a continuous improvement approach.
- Deliver SAP data and functional training with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Use SAP tables to build business reports.
- Lead SAP system configuration changes from idea, request, approval, development, test, and implementation.
- Develop into a SAP authority on site and go-to-person to resolve SAP issues or errors.
- Provide advice to the user community on SAP access requests.
Trade Compliance Export Co-ordinator
- Perform customer screening for exports.
- Support supply chain logistics in calculating ‘value for customs’ for our exports.
- Drive the identification and upload to SAP of CAS numbers and Commodity codes for all Cork exports, to facilitate importation into the ‘fill and finish’ locations.
- Work with Cork and Linz commercial office to ensure accurate VAT codes and numbers are uploaded to SAP and available on our site invoices.
- Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate export (and re-import where applicable) of product to and from our site.
Supply Chain Compliance
- Work across the supply chain and procurement teams facilitating the on-time review and update of our Quality documentation, using the site EDMS system.
- Complete training and assume responsibility as EDMS author for the team.
Supply Chain Support
- Provide SAP services by first intent Supply Chain colleagues.
- Work with the Warehouse Material & Compliance Lead to drive the timely completion of cycle counting and the materials disposal processes.
What we’re looking for
- Degree level qualification in Business studies, commerce, business information systems, Science, Engineering or other Business-related Field customers is desired.
- Previous experience within a similar industry is very useful.
- Prior experience with SAP.
- Results orientated and continuous improvement approach.
- Confident and customer centric.

Operating for over 40 years, the Cork site is proud to manufacture and supply Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) to our customers for use in clinical trials and approved medicines for commercial supply - medicines to treat Cancer, Parkinson’s Disease, Depression, HIV, Congestive Heart Failure, Diabetes and Respiratory diseases, along with raw material for consumer healthcare products.
