Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the dispatch of drivers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of loads.
- Develop and optimize load plans to maximize driver productivity, minimize empty miles, and reduce overall transportation costs.
- Monitor driver performance, hours of service, and route adherence, and adjust plans as necessary to address any issues or changes in customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions, addressing any concerns, and maintaining a positive and professional relationship.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely information on customer orders, special requests, and delivery requirements.
- Utilize transportation management software and other tools to track shipments, optimize routing, and maintain accurate records.
- Booking loads and proactively engaging with customers to fulfill their transportation needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations and company policies.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues, such as delays, equipment breakdowns, or weather-related disruptions, to minimize their impact on operations.
- Provide regular updates to management on dispatch and load planning performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall service quality.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidate must be proficient with load link, DAT, border crossing, ACE, Canadian & USA custom bonded shipments manifest & invoicing to customers.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and safety requirements.
- Proficient in using transportation management software and other technology tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to ensuring driver satisfaction.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
