What you'll do
- You will report to the Risk management manager and will be tasked with individual application and/or account evaluations to determine acceptability within the firm’s risk appetite, identification of fraudulent activities, and continued compliance with industry standards. Investigations may include examination of financial, credit, and publicly available information, and direct interaction with customers, sales/service, and senior management teams
- Responsible for approval, documentation, and execution of escalations, exceptions, and restricted tasks within their assigned limits. Also, Analysts are expected to identify risk-related trends within the application and performance populations; and assignment of local or participation in firmwide special projects
- Analyze data to calculate risk metrics to identify and classify risk profiles. Develop risk assessments based on financial statements, credit bureau files, and consumer and business profiles and establish quality control measures
- Support less-experienced risk associates with escalations and exception requests. Review and assess reports of suspicious account activity and identify requirement violations and restricted activities. Be an Subject Matter Expert for assigned knowledge areas
- Prepare and distribute interoffice and customer communications that could include such items as new or annual program risk evaluations, assessment of individual risk profiles, and process statuses
- Create reports and summaries of portfolio and industry trends; document processes. Report important risk and control indicators of department and business units
- Understand all applicable regulations, laws (including the Bank Secrecy Act), card association rule, CSG Security and Compliance standards as referenced in internal policies and procedures including the Information Security, Acceptable Use, Code of Conduct, and other corporate policies. Keep abreast of all applicable regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified

- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in English in a business environment
- 3+ years experience in the financial industry or 5+ years experience within the payment processing industry
- 5+ years experience within a risk management area of the payment processing industry
- Solid knowledge of NACHA and Credit Card operating rules and regulations

Position Pay Range:
This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.
This role is eligible for a bonus opportunity.
